INGREDIENTS:
4oz Red Leicester Cheese grated
1 x small red onion
3-4 tbsp Original Hot Sauce
Puff Pastry Sheet
Egg
Salt and Pepper to taste
METHOD:
1. Preheat the oven to 190 degrees.
2. Finely chop the red onion.
3. Combine the red onion, grated cheese, Original Hot Sauce and salt and pepper to taste and mix well.
4. Ensure that mixture isn’t runny and if so, add some grated cheese!
5. Unroll the puff pastry sheet and add the cheese and in mixture.
6. Roll the pastry across and pinch at the bottom and at the ends to ensure the filling doesn’t spill out.
7. Grease an oven dish and add the rolls and place into the oven.
8. Brush the rolls with a beaten egg.
9. Bake for 25-30 minutes.
10. Take out the oven once golden and if the spilling fills out, scrape it off and have it on the side – it’s a tremendous nibble with a chewy texture.
11. Optional to serve with a dollop of Original Hot Sauce on the side.
